Эссе по английскому "A person who is fluent in a foreign language can easily teach it"

Nowadays, learning foreign languages is becoming more and more popular. Thus language teachers are in great demand everywhere. Many people, who are fluent in languages but are not educational specialists, are tempted to tackle the teaching.

I am convinced that language fluency does not mean being successful as a teacher, who needs good social skills in the first place. For example, the teacher needs patience, empathy, tact, good look, decent manners, and others. If you lack above-mentioned qualities, you cannot teach well. Secondly, the teacher should not just be fluent in a foreign language but also he/she must be grammatically correct. Any mistakes are inadmissible because your students will take them from you, and their speech will bristle with flaws.

But there are people who say that being fluent in a language is enough to teach it. They say that students will just copy lexis and grammar from their teacher and will achieve language mastery.

I cannot support the idea of my opponents because copying from a model is a very limited way of adopting something. In addition to copying, the students should thoroughly look into sentence structures, speech patterns and styles, etc.

In conclusion, I would like to stress the fact that teaching is a complex job, and good knowledge of the subject itself is not enough to be a good teacher.
